Not even the clearest of waters
could reflect how much I loved you;
you don't understand how many times
I almost drowned in those waters,
staring at our love.

If the sun exploded
I'd gladly go down again
as a burning, passionate
mass of human sacrifice.

Cold-hot ice from
the silent, artic desert
would have never extinguished
the fire that was eternally
a light in my soul for you.

No one could have wanted
you as much as I did.

No one could have loved
you as much as I did.

No one in that world
would cut out their heart
just to count the beats
of each minute they thought
about you like I did.

I'm sorry.
I said I'd never leave you,
but love makes you do
crazy things.

I guess I did
anything for love.

Couldn't decide where to put this, so I stuck it here since it deals with a certain perspective. See if you can guess what's going on by analyzing.

Just try to take the poem literally in a sense and from a man's point of view.

Boy, what sign is it when a man of great spirit
grows melancholy?
Moth:
A great sign, sir, that he will look sad.
